Inclusion Criteria

1. Paediatric oncology patients aged 3-14 years receiving strongly myelosuppressive chemotherapy

2. Taking more than 50 % caloric intake per orally at time of inclusion in the study

Exclusion Criteria

1.Patients unwilling to give consent

2. Patients receiving myeloablative chemotherapy in preparation for allogeneic or autologous

bone marrow or stem cell transplant.

3. Co-morbidity with immunosuppressive disease such as AIDS.

4. Patients with documented infection at time of enrolment.

5. Patients who are not fed orally (G-tube dependant, TPN-dependant) at time of enrolment

6. Patients actively receiving radiation
