Every elective midline laparotomy for patients with Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and patients with a BMI of more than 27.

Exclusion Criteria

· Age < 18 years
· Emergency procedure
· Inclusion in other trials
· Aortic reconstruction for obstructive disease
