Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Astronauts from ESA, NASA, the Japanese or Canadian space agencies flying to the ISS.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- Subjects with ferromagnetic metal implants, pacemakers or electronic materials cannot be included in the study due to the MRI scan
  • •\- Previous head surgery with metal implants
  • •\- Claustrophobia
  • •\- Previous knee surgery or ligament injuries
  • •\- Personal or family history of epilepsy, uncontrolled high blood pressure, bleeding tendency, use of aspirin or warfarin, impaired blood clotting, history of nerve, muscular or skeletal disorders of the leg
  • •\- Allergies to kinesiology tape, stickers, electrode gel or Aquasonic ultrasound gel
  • •\- Cardiac diseases
  • •\- Pregnant women
  • •\- MRI cannot be performed on persons with:
  • •Implanted pacemakers
