Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Astronauts from ESA, NASA, the Japanese or Canadian space agencies flying to the ISS.

Exclusion Criteria

  • \- Subjects with ferromagnetic metal implants, pacemakers or electronic materials cannot be included in the study due to the MRI scan
  • \- Previous head surgery with metal implants
  • \- Claustrophobia
  • \- Previous knee surgery or ligament injuries
  • \- Personal or family history of epilepsy, uncontrolled high blood pressure, bleeding tendency, use of aspirin or warfarin, impaired blood clotting, history of nerve, muscular or skeletal disorders of the leg
  • \- Allergies to kinesiology tape, stickers, electrode gel or Aquasonic ultrasound gel
  • \- Cardiac diseases
  • \- Pregnant women
  • \- MRI cannot be performed on persons with:
  • Implanted pacemakers
