1.Patients presenting with classical signs & symptoms of Vatrakta
(Gout).
2. Uric acid level more than 7mg/dl for male and 6mg/dl for female.
3. Patients of age group between 20-50 years of either sex.
1. Age below 20 years and above 50 years.
2. Pregnant women and lactating mothers.
3. Patient suffering from other metabolic disorders and systemic disease such as
hypertension,diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorder etc.
4. Patients with autoimmune type disease of joints.
5. Patients presenting with tophi, cellulitis, renal and liver disorder, bone deformities,
Rheumatoid arthritis and Osteoarthritis.

Name Time Method It is expected that at the end of the study we would be able to demonstrate the efficacy of Varun twak in the management of Vatrakta and would also be able to find out an efficacious,safe and cost <br/ ><br>effective single herb for the management of the same. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 4 weeks
