Inclusion Criteria
Pregnant women admitted to labor room and undergo vaginal delivery at KAHERâ??s, Dr.Prabhakar Kore Hospital, Belagavi during the study period.
1) Live singleton pregnancy with cephalic presentation, anticipating normal vaginal delivery.
2) Hemoglobin >= 9g/dl
Exclusion Criteria
â?ªPlacental Abnormality-
oPlacenta previa
oInvasive placenta (placenta accreta/ increta/percreta)
oAbruptio placentae
â?ªEclampsia
â?ªHELLP syndrome
â?ªPrevious PPH
â?ªIntra uterine fetal death
â?ªFetus with congenital malformation
â?ªMalpresentations
â?ªCephalopelvic disproportion
â?ªPrevious cesarean delivery or uterine scar
â?ªWomen on low-molecular-weight heparin or anti-platelet agents
â?ªKnown case of bleeding disorder
