This cross sectional study aims to evaluate the prevalence of perceived stress and altered quality of sleep among law enforcement personnel in Hassan, Karnataka, and to examine the association between these variables. A total of 310 law enforcement personnel, including police, home guards and state reserve police personnel, will be recruited using convenient sampling. Data will be collected using pre validated questionnaires, including Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Perceived Stress Scale, and Operational Police Stress Questionnaire, along with personal interviews and basic anthropometric assessments. Statistical analysis will be carried out using descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis to determine associations between variables.

入选标准
- •Subjects between the age group of 19 years to 60 years.
- •Subjects who have completed a minimum of one year of service.
- •Irrespective of gender, caste, religion, socio economic status and level of literacy.
- •Those who are ready to give a written consent.
排除标准
- •Subject with a history of diagnosed sleep disorders before being recruited for the job.
- •Subject with a history of diagnosed mental illness before being recruited for the job.
- •Subjects who are on medications that significantly affect sleep quality or stress levels.
- •Subjects who are not physically present when the study is being conducted.
