简要总结
Sthaulya has been mentioned in Ayurvedic texts from ancient times, including the Samhitas, Sangraha, Grantham, Nighantu, and others. The illness known as Sthaulya is brought on by an Excessive buildup of fat, or Meda Dhatu, in the body. Acharya Charaka Sthaulya is explained in Asthaninditiyo Adhyaya1. It says that in Astauninditiya Adhyaya, Sthaulya is most difficult to treat, It comes under Santarpniya vyadhi2. According to WHO Obesity come under top 10 selected risk disease.BMI >.24.9 consider overweight, BMI > 30 obese. In 2022, 1 in 8 people in the world were living with obesity3. Worldwide adult obesity has more than doubled since 1990, and adolescent obesity has quadrupled. In 2022, 2.5 billion adults (18 years and older) were overweight. Of these, 890 million were living with obesity. In 2022, 43% of adults aged 18 years and over were overweight and 16% were living with obesity. In 2022, 37 million children under the age of 5 were overweight..Over 390 million children and adolescents aged 5–19 years were overweight in 2022, including 160 million who were living with obesity.14 Madhudak explained by Acharya chakradatta in which take madhu with water at early morning with empty stomach.8 Chakradatta has mentioned Chavyadi Saktu in sthaulya chikitsa adhikar for the management of Sthaulya 8 Obesity and its attendant conditions have become major health problems worldwide and obesity is currently ranked as the fifth most common leading cause of death globally. The WHO defines obesity as an Abnormal or Excessive fat accumulation that may impair health “further clarifying that the fundamental cause of obesity and overweight is an energy imbalance between calories consumed and calories expended.” As body fat itself is not a disease, of course. But when your body has too much extra fat accumulation, it can change the way it functions. These changes are progressive, can worsen over time, and they can lead to adverse health effects.
