Patients for both gender with clinical diagnosis of COPD with moderate to very severe airflow obstruction presenting spirometric values of forced expiratory volume in the first second between 30 and 80% of predicted according to GOLD: Age between 18 and 80 years; Clinically stable (absence of hospitalization episode or infection in the 3 months prior to the study);
Patients who presented any other associated chronic respiratory disease requiring urgent treatment or intervention;Presence of other non-pulmonary diseases considered incapacitating, severe or difficult to control; Patients who did not complete the study protocol and / or those who had an episode of exacerbation during the period that included their participation in the study.
