简要总结
This Phase I observational study involves a single group of 384 undergraduate students aged 18–25 years who use smartphones for at least 5 hours daily and have been using them for a minimum of one year. Participants are selected through multistage sampling, excluding those unwilling to participate, students from SRM College of Physiotherapy, and individuals with recent upper limb fractures, congenital anomalies, psychiatric or neurological conditions, or chronic cardiovascular or respiratory illnesses. No intervention or control group is involved, and no drug administration is planned. Outcome measures include the Short Version of the Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS-SV), craniovertebral angle (CVA) using Gait ON software, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and the Stroop test. Data collection will be conducted through Google Forms for SAS-SV and PSQI, with participants completing the questionnaires within 24–48 hours. CVA will be measured by marking anatomical landmarks and capturing lateral photographs for analysis via Gait ON software. The Stroop test will assess selective attention, cognitive flexibility, and response inhibition using a digital interface, with participants identifying font colors under neutral, congruent, and incongruent conditions. All responses and measurements will be securely stored for further analysis.
