Brief Summary

Both the task-based mirror therapy and the conventional physical therapy group had improved on all variables but without statistical significance between groups. However, in regards to the within-group analysis, the mirror therapy group exhibited significant differences between pre and post for all variables, except the SF-36.

Inclusion Criteria

1. The first stroke patients who presented Brunnstrom stage between 2-5
2. Thai Mental State Examination; TMSE since 24 scores
3. No limited upper extremity's range of motion that effects the program training
4. Fair in dynamic sitting balance, unable to sit at least 30 minutes
5. Upper extremity muscles with spasticity as per the Modified Ashworth Scale; MAS not greater than level 2
6. Caregiver can stay with them along the training session

Exclusion Criteria

1. Proprioception sensation deficit (< 3/5 of sensory testing) in the upper extremity
2. Fracture of upper extremity bone for less than six months or musculoskeletal diseases affecting upper extremity's movement
3. Present unilateral neglect detected by line section test
4. Present depression sign from 2Q and 9Q questionnaire
5. Presented with visual impairment (not correctable with contact lens or glasses)
