入选标准
- •1.All post-operative patients [including all craniotomies (both tumor and trauma), endonasal procedures, procedures involving placement of implants or drains] under the Department of Neurosurgery who have been newly diagnosed with meningitis confirmed by CSF cultures and biochemical investigations,
- •2.Patients who develop infection within 30 days of primary surgery
- •3.Patients who have survived for more than 72 hoursâ?? post-surgery,
- •4.Patients who have undergone a redo surgery because of a direct cause or result of the primary surgery, within 30 days from the primary surgery.
排除标准
- •1.Patients who underwent surgery outside the institution (Department of Neurosurgery, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal),
- •2.Patients who develop infection after 30 days of primary surgery,
- •3.Patients below 18 years of age,
- •4.Patients diagnosed with non-CNS infection prior to primary surgery,
- •5.Patients without positive CSF culture and biochemical investigations.
