Brief Summary

Today’s in an era of modernization and civilization most of people have modern life style like consumption of junk food and less care about heath .

It causes vatiation of vata dosha , this vitiated vata dosha affects janusandhi of mainly old age people less than 40 years



It is most commonly occuring and painful join disorder it makes it hard to do many activities every day .it is major cause of lost work time and serious disability for many people



During the process of pathogenesis when vitiated vayu gets into the knee joint . Human being enable do work because due to impairement of function severe pain and swelling due to movement restricted



Prasaranakunchana vedana is a classical symptoms of janusandhigata vata.vata dosha situated in janu sandhi and exibit symptoms like shotha shoola,vatapurnadushti sparsha and prasaranakunchana vedana.



In our classical ayurvedic test basti treatment is advised for vatiation of vata dosha .



Panchamoola is effective on vata dosha due to their laghu ruksha ushna virya and vata shamak property

Inclusion Criteria
  • Patient presenting with symptoms like Shoola in janusandhi, Shotha, Prasaranajanya vedana, and Akunchanjanya vedana in janusandhi.
  • Patients of age group between 40-70yrs irrespective of sex.
  • Patients suffering from Knee Osteoarthritis.
  • Both female and male sex.
Exclusion Criteria
  • Lactating mothers.
  • Pregnant women.
  • Patient suffering from Osteo tuberculosis.
  • Patient suffering from Osteo carcinoma.
  • Patient suffering from any metabolic disorders such as SLE, Rheumatoid Arthritis.
  • Patient contraindicated for Swedan Karma.
