Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Individuals with medial knee osteoarthritis, determined by the classification of Kellgren and Lawrence (1957\) in grades 1 to 3 on the panoramic radiograph; deformity in varus of up to 10 degrees in the measurement of the anatomic / mechanical axis; individuals of both genders; age range of 60 to 75 years; individuals who did not have the surgical procedure as the first treatment option;
- •absence of another type of associated disease affecting the lower limbs; absence of muscular, nervous sequelae and / or previous fractures in the lower limbs; absence of neurological disorder that promotes cognitive alterations; not have used bracing prior to the study; individuals who accepted to use the orthosis as a form of treatment.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Inability to perform any of the tests; individuals who did not use the orthosis due to skin lesions; individuals who did not attend the returns for the evaluations.
