Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •.Those infants for whom informed consent has been obtained from the parents/guardians
- •.Outborn or inborn neonates born between 37\-42 weeks of gestation (term gestation) born at KLEâ??s Hospital Belagavi, KLEâ??s Satellite centres.
- •.Already diagnosed outborn neonates with proof of Perinatal Asphyxia
- •.Term neonates requiring prolonged resuscitation or intubation
- •.Cord ABG showing Ph of \<7 or base deficit of more than or equal to 12\-16 mmol/l
Exclusion Criteria
- •.Term neonates without perinatal Asphyxia
- •.Outborn neonates without proof of Perinatal Asphyxia
- •.Neonates with significant Congenital anomaly
- •.Infants for whom informed consent was not obtained as well as the infants to which parents/guardians have not given consent.
