Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •.Those infants for whom informed consent has been obtained from the parents/guardians
  • •.Outborn or inborn neonates born between 37\-42 weeks of gestation (term gestation) born at KLEâ??s Hospital Belagavi, KLEâ??s Satellite centres.
  • •.Already diagnosed outborn neonates with proof of Perinatal Asphyxia
  • •.Term neonates requiring prolonged resuscitation or intubation
  • •.Cord ABG showing Ph of \<7 or base deficit of more than or equal to 12\-16 mmol/l

Exclusion Criteria

  • •.Term neonates without perinatal Asphyxia
  • •.Outborn neonates without proof of Perinatal Asphyxia
  • •.Neonates with significant Congenital anomaly
  • •.Infants for whom informed consent was not obtained as well as the infants to which parents/guardians have not given consent.
