入选标准
- •Newly diagnosed drug naive epileptic patients aged between 18-60 years of age of either gender
- •Patients who will be initiated on monotherapy with phenytoin or levetiracetam or oxcarbazepine
- •Patients who are willing to give informed consent
排除标准
- •Patients with history of psychiatric or progressive neurological disorders
- •Patients with history of other co morbid conditions like ischemic heart disease kidney disease liver disease thyroid disorders and other endocrinopathies
- •Patients with history of diseases that could influence the level of oxidative stress such as diabetes mellitus arterial hypertension malignancies recent surgery and trauma
- •Patients on drugs that influence the level of oxidative stress such as vitamins herbal medicines for the last 3 months
- •Pregnant and lactating women
