Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Acute head injury.
- •2\. Mild traumatic brain injury defined as
- •a) GCS 13 to15
- •b) loss of consciousness for 30 minutes or less
- •c) duration of posttraumatic amnesia of 24 hours or less
- •3\. Age group of 20 to 60 years.
- •4\. Lower extremity surgery for trauma.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Associated systemic injury eg.,chest and abdomen.
- •2\. Patients expected to undergo multiple surgery.
- •3\. Patients with other systemic illness.
- •4\. Patients with any contraindication for regional anaesthesia eg.,coagulopathy
- •5\. The patients of the reginal anaesthesia group in whom the neuraxial block will be
- •ineffective or doubtful will be excluded from the study and administered general
- •anaesthesia.
