简要总结

Research question: To study the effects of the application of transcranial direct current stimulation and an exercise program in a population with multiple sclerosis with fatigue on fragility from its four dimensions: functional mobility, balance, fatigue and depression. Background information: The relationship between fragility and neurological diseases has been the subject of study in the field of neurosciences. The application of physical exercise programs can restore the alterations in Multiple sclerosis. On the other hand, the Transcranial Direct Current stimulation are a good option for symptomatology management in this population. Participant characteristic: A total of 15 subjects participated in the study. The inclusion criteria were as follows: a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, a score indicating the presence of fatigue on the Modified Fatigue Impact Scale, the ability to walk at least 20 meters without resting, age over 18 years, and good written and spoken Spanish comprehension. Key results: The exercise program and the application of the TDCs separately improve the variables of depression, balance, mobility and fatigue, projecting an improvement in the fragility of this population group. Limitations: no long-term evaluation was performed to test the duration of the effect of the therapies.
