- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To assess the outcome with respect to ICU stay, duration of ventilation and determine the utility of serial lactate levels to prognosticate patients with severe sepsis and septic shock in an ICU. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: Outcome will be assessed at 0,6,24,48 hours
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To assess other predictors of outcome of sepsis like procalcitonin , CRP, antibiotic use , vasopressin use , culture isolates etcTimepoint: During the time of stay of the patient - till death or discharge;to assess prognosis and all cause mortality according to SOFA and APACHE ii scoreTimepoint: At the time of diagnosis -0 hours
