Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Diagnosis of a moderate or major depressive episode without psychotic symptoms and without suicidality
- •\- Minimum age of 18 years
- •\- Current inpatient treatment in the open psychiatric ward of the Braunschweig hospital
- •\- Ability to understand the study protocol and provide written informed consent after receiving detailed information
- •\- Living alone without pets
- •\- Staying alone overnight during stress testing in own home
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- Presence of psychotic symptoms or suicidality
- •\- Severe comorbidity that could interfere with the conduct of the study
