Diagnosis of a moderate or major depressive episode without psychotic symptoms and without suicidality
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Current inpatient treatment in the open psychiatric ward of the Braunschweig hospital
- Ability to understand the study protocol and provide written informed consent after receiving detailed information
- Living alone without pets
- Staying alone overnight during stress testing in own home
- Presence of psychotic symptoms or suicidality
- Severe comorbidity that could interfere with the conduct of the study

Name Time Method Investigation of possible correlations between sensor-based data and the symptoms, the degrees of expression of the disorders as well as individual parameters of depression, and observation of the development of psychiatric symptoms, the course of therapy and the efficiency of therapy in relation to these correlations.
