Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Success rate of producing differential nerve block as defined by adequate sensory block to

perform surgery but retention of motor power to permit intraoperative assessmentTimepoint: serial assessment the patients for onset of

sensory and motor block, every minute for the first five minutes and every five minutes for the next

30 minutes.then every 30mmin from then on
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Allows Surgeon to assess adequacy of his surgery as he performs it patient respond to his instructions, being awake but pain free. Early mobility of hand

after surgery, less complication compared to general anaesthesia . The results of this study will be potentially beneficial to other patients with

similar problem undergoing surgery in the future.

time duration of action of drug,ie time of block to 1st request for analgesia by patientTimepoint: time of giving of block to time of request of analgesia by the patient
