- •Elderly diabetic patients (above the age of 60) attending the medicine OPD, in patients and
- •comprehensive Geriatric Clinics in Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.
排除标准
- •Conditions causing sarcopenia and frailty:
- •1. stroke, malignancy, tuberculosis, hyperthyroidism
- •2. Physically inactive/bedridden patients
- •3. Malnutrition(inadequate dietary intake, malabsorption, gastrointestinal disorders or medications that
- •cause anorexia)
- •4. Steroid treatment
- •5. Neurodegenerative disorder related: stroke, parkinsonism
