Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Age greater than 50 years
  • •2\.Either gender
  • •3\.American Society of Anesthesiologists’ (ASA) physical status I, II or III
  • •4\.Scheduled for elective surgery under spinal anesthesia

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Body Mass Index (BMI) exceeding 30 kg/m²
  • •2\.Taking angiotensin\-converting enzyme inhibitors
  • •3\.Presence of any contraindications to spinal anesthesia
  • •4\.Patients scheduled specifically for unilateral spinal anesthesia
  • •5\.Failed spinal anesthesia
  • •6\.Patients with a baseline arterial systolic blood pressure (SBP) lower than 90 mmHg
  • •7\.Patient refusal to participate in study
