Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •In spite of nonoperative treatment, the giving way and recurrent sprain have lasted for more than 6 months.
Exclusion Criteria
- •(1\) neuromuscular disorders
- •(2\) obvious bony deformity of the ankle or foot on the affected side
- •(3\) previous surgery of the affected ankle
- •(4\) previous fracture of the affected ankle
- •(5\) chronic ankle instability of the contralateral ankle
- •(6\) generalized joint laxity
