Inclusion Criteria
Male or female patients aged = 18 years.
- Performed one- or two-stage KTEP exchange surgery with preoperatively confirmed diagnosis of periprosthetic infection (Pro Implant Foundation criteria)
- Performed single-stage KTEP exchange surgery with postoperatively confirmed KTEP infection according to the above criteria.
Exclusion Criteria
Insufficient documentation or preoperative as well as perioperative diagnostics for correct classification of periprosthetic infection

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The primary objective of this study is to initially investigate the reinfection rate after exchange surgery of a KTEP with a confirmed diagnosis of infection.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Secondary objectives will be to investigate the revision rate, implant survival and, with sufficient patient numbers, patient satisfaction and subjective joint function by means of questionnaires. Furthermore, other demographic co-factors (age, BMI, etc.) will be investigated with regard to their influence on the re-infection rate.
