Brief Summary

The Kinesio taping group showed significant improvement in pain, symptom severity, dysfunction in daily life, depression and QoL, respectively. In the control group, however, the significant difference was noted only in pain. After changing from inelastic paper taping to Kinesio taping, all parameters have been significant improved.

Inclusion Criteria

Consecutive patients with fibromyalgia were enrolled from outpatient clinics at Chung-Ang University Hospital in Seoul, Korea, between October 2015 and November 2016. All patients were =18 years of age with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia made = 6 months prior to enrollment. Fibromyalgia was diagnosed in accordance with the 2010 American College of Rheumatology diagnostic criteria. . WPI (Widespread Pain Index) = 7 and Symptom Severity Score (SS) = 5
or WPI = 3-6 and SS = 9
2. Symptoms of similar levels should last at least 3 months.
3. There are no other diseases that can explain the pain.
Patients meeting the criteria of 1, 2, and 3
Patients receiving injections other than oral medications are excluded.

Exclusion Criteria

Those who are taking other complementary therapies or who use injectable drugs such as lidocaine
