Our aim is compare post operative  analgesia and readiness  to discharge  in both groups  of spinal anaesthesia and paravertebral block

18.00 Year(s) to 70.00 Year(s) (—)

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Patients posted for inguinal hernia repair
  • •Age between 18-70 years
  • •ASA physical status I, II and III
  • •No systemic illness and complications.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Patient’s refusal
  • •ASA physical status >III
  • •History of bleeding and coagulation disorder
  • •Allergic to local anaesthetic agents
  • •Infection at local site
  • •Head injury and increased intracranial pressure
  • •Neurological disease or psychotic disorder
  • •Severe anaemia
  • •Hemodynamic instability
  • •Cardiac or hepatic or renal disease.

Outcomes

Primary Outcomes

To compare Spinal Anaesthesia & Paravertebral block in terms of

Time Frame: Up to 24 hours postoperatively

Duration and characteristics of block & hemodynamic stability.

Time Frame: Up to 24 hours postoperatively

Secondary Outcomes

  • To compare Spinal Anaesthesia & Paravertebral block in terms of(1. Ambulation time and Readiness to discharge.)
