- Regular intake procedure has been completed
- Primary diagnosis of PTSD according to DSM-5 criteria
- EMDR or TF-CBT (Trauma Focussed Cognitive Behavior Therapy) have been
indicated as treatment of first choice or has started less than 3 months
earlier
- Age between 18 and 65
- Use of medication (if any) was stable during last 2 months before recruitement
- Informed consent
- Comorbidity with other serious emotional or psycho-social problems including
crisis, suicidality,
severe addiction to alcohol and/or drugs and psychosis, that might interfere
with a treatment that
primarily targets PTSD
- An unsuccesful but lege artis performed treatment with EMDR or TF-CBT for the
same presenting trauma problems has taken place during the last two years
