Introduction

Chronic non healing ulcers are a major cause of morbidity among Indian Population This study aims to compare two unique techniques of healing chronic ulcer - amniotic memrane and collagen powder.

METHODOLOGY

By using randomised control trial chronic ulcer patients recieved either amniotic membrane or collagen powder as treatment and outcomes were analysed using ulcer dimensions and VAS for pain at baseline ,one,four,eight weeks.

IMPLICATION

The two techiniques used are safe and cheap alternative to the other commmerciallly available expensive dressings in market.

•1 Patients with chronic ulcers more than 6 weeks attending PMR OPD.
•2 Sterile ulcers.

排除标准

•1 Infected ulcers 2 Underlying osteomyelitis 3 Ulcers with exposed tendons and bones.

1 Ulcer dimensions in length ,width and circumference.
