Inclusion Criteria
Eligible patients are 18 years and older, sufficient Dutch or English speaking and reading skills and admitted for at least 24 hours.
Exclusion Criteria
The following exclusion criteria will be used: inability to perform independent transfers prior to hospital admission, delirium, obligatory bed rest as indicated by the attending physician, expected to be discharged before 12AM on the day of measurement and patients receiving end of life care.

Name Time Method Amount of physical activity measured using the Physical Activity Monitor AM400 accelerometer
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Time spent in bed measured using Behavioral Mapping protocols, length of stay and discharge destinations using organizational data. A process evaluation using semi-structured interviews and surveys used to evaluate the implementation, mechanisms of impact, context and perceived barriers and enablers.
