Inclusion Criteria
patients 1 month to 15 years old who were admitted to the PICU, intubated, and received sedative medication for at least 48 hours
Exclusion Criteria
patients with neurological disease because the level of sedation can not be assessed by the COMFORT B scale, patients who received neuromuscular blockage medication and needed a very deep sedation level for treatment as in cases of pulmonary hypertensive crisis
