Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Patient who consent to be part of study.
  • •Above 18 years of age
  • •Patient with type 2 diabetes and treatment under oral hypoglycaemics
  • •Patients indicated for dental extraction

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1•Patients unable to give consent through physical or mental disability
  • •2•Dento\-alveolar infection in relation to the pertaining tooth to be extracted.
  • •3•Type 1 diabetes and insulin dependent
  • •4•Type 2 diabetes; HIV/AIDS; chemotherapy; systemic steroids; irradiation to the head and neck; bisphosphonates; anticoagulant and antiplatelet treatment; and major benign or malignant pathology within the jaws.
