- •1.All patients in the Surgical ICU who have had an emergency laparotomy
- •a. for trauma or
- •b.intra-abdominal sepsis
- •2.Pancreatitis patients in the Surgical ICU
排除标准
- •Age < 15years
- •Rectal, colonic and perianal surgeries
- •Trauma with perianal lacerations
- •Proximal diversion ileostomy
- •Hard impacted stool at the time of colonoscopy.
- •Bladder surgeries
- •Patients with abdominal wound dehiscence
- •Decompressive laprotomy and primary abdominal closure using mesh
