简要总结
We will be comparing the effect of preoperative multimedia based informative video versus music intervention in patients undergoing elective surgery under spinal anaesthesia in Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi. A total of 140 patients with 70 on each group ( group V and group M) will be enrolled in the study. Patients will be explained about the study and written informed consent will be taken. Group V participants will be shown informative video regarding Spina anaesthesia and groupM participants will receive music intervention of their own preference. Anxiety level will be assessed using visual analogue scale - anxiety (VAS-A) , serum cortisol level ( baseline and 6 hours after completion of surgery ), Post operative satisfaction score using Likert scale.

入选标准
- •Patient of either sex,age 18-60years.
- •Patients belonging to American Society of Anaestheiologists Grade 1 and
- •Patients undergoing elective surgery of duration 2-3 hours.
排除标准
- •Patients who are on anti anxiety or anti depressants or beta blockers.
- •Obstetric patients.
- •Patients suffering with visual or hearing impairment.
- •Patients suffering from intellectual disability or any other psychiatric illness.

- The preoperative and postoperative serum cortisol level and postoperative patient satisfaction score between the two groups.(30 minute after completion of surgery.)
