Clinical evaluation of a novel sodium copper chlorophyllin loaded cubosomal in situ gel compared to chlorhexidine gel as an adjunct to scaling and root planing in the treatment of stage 2 grade A periodontitis: a randomized controlled clinical trial

This randomized double blinded controlled clinical trial aims to evaluate the clinical efficacy of sodium copper chlorophyllin loaded cubosomal in situ gel compared to chlorhexidine gel as an adjunct to scaling and root planing in patients diagnosed with stage 2 grade A periodontitis. 48 systemically healthy patients will be randomly allocated into two groups. Clinical parameters including pocket probing depth and gingival index will be assessed at baseline 7 days and 14 days. The study aims to determine whether sodium copper chlorophyllin gel provides clinical improvement compared to chlorhexidine gel.
