Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Intubated intensive care patients under analgosedation
- •\- Invasive arterial blood pressure measurement
- •\- Presence of a study physician on admission of the patient to the intensive care unit
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- Refusal by the patient
- •\- Anatomical conditions that prohibit the insertion of an oesophageal temperature probe
- •\- Patients who have taken or been administered antipyretics (antipyretics, barbiturates, thyroid preparations, antipsychotics, etc.) in the previous 120 minutes
- •\- Vaccination in the last seven days
- •\- Blockage/obstruction of the ear canal
- •\- Inflammation in the measurement site
- •\- Use of barbiturates, thyroid medication or antipsychotics within the last three hours
