Inclusion Criteria
1.Male and female patients.
2.Atleast 18 years of age diagnosed with
3.ype 2 Diabetes Mellitus and receiving metformin for more than one year were included in the study
Exclusion Criteria
1.Patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus, 2.pregnant patients
3.patients suffering from liver, kidney, thyroid disorders,
4.HIV positive
5.alcoholics
6.those with history suggestive of
malabsorption (irritable bowel disease, gastrectomy, ileal resection)
7.patients declining to participate were excluded from the study.
