Inclusion Criteria

Sixty patients of either sex having age more than 65yrs with ASA I-III scheduled for undergoing surgery with anticipated duration of less than 2hrs under spinal anaesthesia

Exclusion Criteria

Patient having contraindication to spinal anaesthesia (uncertain neurological disorders, local infections, allergic to local anaesthesia, coagulopathy), marked spinal deformity,undergone previous spinal surgery and any patient unwilling to participate in the study
