Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1) Patients ASA 1-3 physical status
  • 2)Age 18-70 yrs of either sex
  • 3)Patient posted for elective and emergency upper limb surgeries (in emergency surgeries NBM for 6 hour is needed , those patients are not NBM for 6 hour for solid are not included in study)
  • 4)Patient with body mass index (BMI) 18-40 kg/m2

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1)Hypersensitivity to local anesthetic agents
  • 2)Altered mental status (phychiatric and anxiety disorder)
  • 3)History of allergy to study drugs
  • 4)Patient on sedative and hypnotic medications
  • 5)Patient with chronic pain or on painkiller
  • 6)Patient with severe hepatic or kidney impairment
  • 7)Patient having history of thyrotoxicosis, uncontrolled hypertension, cardiac,chest or neurological diseases
  • 8)Pregnant or breast feeding female
