Inclusion Criteria
Diagnosis of asthma, sufficient knowledge of German, so far no participation in an educational course for asthma patients, oral and written informed consent
Exclusion Criteria
Patient has already participated in an asthma training course, incapacitated patient, insufficient knowledge of German

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method As primary endpoint, it is evaluated by a questionnaire if primary care patients use and benefit from the online self-management program. In addition, the asthma knowledge test (de Vries et al., 2004) examines whether the online self-management program leads to a knowledge gain in asthma patients.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Questionnaire on utilization, content, strengths and weaknesses of the online self-management program. Evaluation of a modified asthma knowledge test.
