Inclusion Criteria

  • Patients undergoing EBUS\-TBNA for investigation of mediastinal and/or hilar masses

Exclusion Criteria

  • clinically evident infection (anywhere)
  • known bacteraemia
  • antibiotic treatment within 1 week of procedure
