For trial participation the patients had to fulfil the inclusion criteria by 1) been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder by a physician (ICD-10 conform) and 2) currently participating in psychotherapeutic sessions.
Within the exclusion criteria the patients weren´t allowed to be diagnosed with a disorder affecting facial expression 1) reductively like morbus parkinson, apraxia, autism, facial nerve paresis and spasm or 2) increasingly like huntington´s disease, west syndrome, schizophrenia and motor tics.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Quantitative evaluation of the trial procedure, interventions, eligibility criteria, acquisition, harms and statistics took place after the follow-up.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Qualitative evaluation of anxiety using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) took place before every treatment session and in the follow-up. The performance of a power analysis for planning of full-scale study took place after the follow-up.
