- The primary outcome of this study is to determine the overall levels of knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding cardiopulmonary physiotherapy (CPP) among Indian healthcare providers, including physiotherapists, physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists. The study will establish baseline KAP scores and compare them across different professional groups to identify inter-professional differences.

Cardiopulmonary physiotherapy (CPP) is an evidence-based intervention aimed at optimizing cardiovascular and respiratory function, reducing postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs), and improving recovery outcomes. Despite its proven benefits, CPP remains underutilized in India due to limited awareness, lack of standardized protocols, inadequate resources, and weak interdisciplinary collaboration. Current Indian studies are largely physiotherapist-focused, single-centered, and lack validated KAP (Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices) tools specific to CPP, limiting their generalizability and impact.
This study seeks to assess KAP related to CPP among Indian healthcare providers (physiotherapists, physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists), compare inter-professional differences, and validate a bilingual (Hindi/English) KAP questionnaire. It also aims to identify institutional, professional, and systemic barriers to CPP implementation and analyze associations between provider characteristics and adherence to evidence-based practices.
By addressing existing research gaps, the study will provide valuable insights for improving training, policy integration, and interdisciplinary collaboration, ultimately promoting wider and more consistent adoption of CPP in Indian healthcare settings.

- •Participants must have professional experience as Physiotherapists, ICU Nurses, Cardiologists, or Pulmonologists.
- •Participants should have prior experience in inpatient, outpatient, and home-based cardiac rehabilitation (CR) programs.
排除标准
- •Participants who are not of Indian nationality will be excluded from the study.
