简要总结

After thorough search of literature , we found that the effect of epidural analgesia in labor and effective breastfeeding is still being controversial. Therefore, we would like to proceed with our study to determine the relationship of labor epidural analgesia and lactation by comparing it with intraprtum pain (VAS) scores.

入选标准

•Women included in this study are with singleton pregnancy with cephalic presentation with POG of 37weeks or more.
•Women with active stage of labor who are willing for epidural anaesthesia and with no contraindication for epidural analgesia are to be taken.

排除标准

•Women denying for epidural analgesia will not be taken in he study.

结局指标

主要结局

To compare the initiation of lactation in women with significantly lower VAS scores after receiving epidural analgesia to those with higher VAS scores.

时间窗: 24hours

次要结局

To study the relationship of maternal hyperthermia in patients with epidural analgesia and subsequently relating it with fetal hyperthermia and APGAR score.(12hours)
