Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Participants for this study will be a dyad consisting of a patient and their partner or family member that is identified as providing informal care The inclusion criteria for the HF group include 1 a primary diagnosis of HF NYHA class I to III 2 have at least one family member residing with them 3 contactable by telephone at home and 4 have a DVD player at home The inclusion criteria for the carer are 1 living in the same household as the HF patient or someone of the patient s own choice 2 aged 20 years or over Participants will be excluded if they have a documented history of dementia or severe psychiatric illness are unable to continue to follow the protocol and have severe symptoms or complications from cardiac or disease or other life threatening comorbidities
