Patients suffering from chronic back pain (enduring or recurrent pain longer than 3 months) who underwent a multidisciplinary biopsychosocial rehabilitation program at the Essen Back Pain Center, University Hospital Essen, Germany

Name Time Method Co-primary outcomes<br>Change in pain intensity over time, assessed by the composite pain intensity score (mean of current, maximum, and average pain intensity during the last 4 weeks on an 11- point NRS [0-10, anchors: no pain at all”–unbearable pain”], see von Korff et al.
