入选标准
- •1. Individuals presenting symptoms of continuous or repetitive fatigue of an unknown cause for at least 6 months.
- •2. Individuals without any abnormal findings in their blood pressure, general blood test (Hb, Hct, WBC, glucose), biochemical test (AST, ALT, Creatinine), electrolyte test (Na, K, Cl), thyroid function test (TSH: Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, FT_4: Free Thyroxine_4), pregnancy test (for fertile women), chest X-ray, and ECG; However, the criteria for abnormal findings were as follows: blood pressure was measured twice and averaged in a sitting position, with at least 2-minute intervals after resting at least for 5 minutes; systolic blood pressure of 160 mmHg and over or diastolic blood pressure of 100 mmHg and over; adult male Hb 13g/dL or less, Hct 38% or less, adult female(non-pregnant) Hb 11.5g/dL or less, Hct 36% or less, WBC 10,000/mm3 or over, random plasma glucose 200mg/dL or over, AST•ALT 100 IU/L or over, respectively, creatinine 1.5mg/dL or over, Na 135mmol/L or less or 145mmol/L or over, K 3.5mmol/L or less or 5.5mmol/L or over, Cl 97 mmol/L or less or 110 mmol/L or over, TSH 0.35mIU/mL or less or 5.50mIU/mL or over, FT4 0.89ng/dL or less or 1.76ng/dL or over, positive urinary hCG, tuberculosis lesions in the chest X-ray except inactive tuberculosis, arrhythmia in the ECG that needs treatment, heart diseases such as ischemic heart disease or cardiomegaly.
- •3. Individuals with NRS(Numeric Rating Scale) over 4 in the past week during the visit for screening.
- •4. Individuals who are clearly informed of the purpose and characteristics of the trial, agree to participate in it, and sign the consent form.
排除标准
- •1. Individuals with the following causes of chronic fatigue in their past or current medical history:
- •a. Organic causes: acute or chronic liver disease (hepatitis, cirrhosis), anemia, tuberculosis, chronic lung disease, cardiovascular disease (heart failure, hypertension), endocrinology/metabolic disorders (diabetes, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, severe obesity with BMI over 45), autoimmune disease (rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis), malignant tumors, and infectious diseases.
- •b. Psychosocial causes: depression, anxiety neurosis, recent severe stress, schizophrenia, alcoholism, eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia).
- •2. Individuals into whose body metal prostheses have been inserted to within 30cm of the electrode attachment spots.
- •3. Pregnant women, lactating women, or women planning pregnancy.
- •4. Individuals who are judged unable to maintain a supine position for at least for one hour.
- •5. Individuals who are unsuitable for acupuncture treatment due to systemic skin disorders or metal allergies.
- •6. Individuals who are currently participating in another clinical trial.
- •7. Individuals who have already experienced a hypersensitive reaction after acupuncture treatment.
- •8. Individuals currently residing in group facilities such as social welfare facilities.
- •9. Individuals who refuse to sign the consent form.
- •10. Individuals who are judged by the researchers to be unsuitable to participate in the clinical trial.
