•Age between 18 and 64 years;
•Score of 4 to 10 points on the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS);
•Persistent pain, refractory to clinical treatment for at least 3 months, and who have received adequate pharmacological treatment for pain with an association of antidepressants, gabapentinoid antiepileptics and analgesic opioids for at least 2 months before the start of the study.

•Current pregnancy;
•Contraindications for tDCS, including metallic skull implants;
•Major ongoing depression, as defined by a baseline score = 29 in the Beck-II Depression Inventory (BDI-II);
•Previous history of alcohol or substance abuse in the last 6 months;
•Use of carbamazepine in the last 6 months;
•Previous history of epilepsy, stroke, moderate to severe head trauma, episodes of unexplained fainting or severe migraine;
•History of neurosurgery;
•Hypertrophic wounds or scars on the scalp under the placement of the electrodes.
