Inclusion Criteria
Patients were included when the fluorescein corneoconjunctival staining score was 5 or more as determined by NEI/Industry Grading System after treatment with non-preserved artificial tears for longer than one month.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients were excluded when they were under the age of 18 years or if there was a history of ocular surface disorders such as Sjögren’s syndrome, ocular trauma or surgery aside from cataract surgery.
