Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Baseline Criteria: All patients who suffer an out\-of\-hospital cardiovascular arrest and are dispatched to both RTW, NEF, and MIC will be included.
  • •The following criteria for inclusion must be met:
  • •\- Over 18 years of age
  • •\- Advanced Life Support measures performed
  • •\- Expected duration of resuscitation \>10 minutes.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- Pregnant women
  • •\- Prisoners
  • •\- Traumatic cardiovascular arrest
  • •\- Known esophageal varices
  • •\- Known esophageal surgery
  • •\- Fulminant hematemesis prior to resuscitation or other evidence of gastrointestinal bleeding
  • •\- DNR/AND status
